Equations

Part A:
Regression Equation
Y=518895.41102082*1.1006953655228^x

Part B:
Regression equation
Y=.5x^2+.5x+1

Explanation

Part A:
The Y in the Regressions Equation represents the amount of People with a Facebook.

The X represents the number of months from the start of Facebook.

The A (518895) represents the number of people per month who have Facebooks.

The B (1.10069...) represents the increase of people who add Facebooks each month.

Part B:
The Y value in the Regressions Equation represents the amount of slices in the Cake.

The X value in the Regressions Equation represents the amount of cuts made in the Cake.

The A in the equation changes the graphs width.

The B in the equation moves the graph left or right along the x axis.

The C in the equation moves the graph up and down along the y axis and is the original amount of slices the cake starts out with.

The Domain of this equation is: X is all real numbers greater than or equal to 0.

The Range of this equation is: X is all real numbers greater than or equal to 1.

This Domain and Range is reasonable because there always has to be one piece of cake, which is the cake as a whole. The least amount of cuts possible is zero because you can not cut a cake a negative amount of times.

Answers
Part A:

The Earths current population will have Facebooks in about eight years and two months.
6,692,030,277=518895.4110282*1.1006953655228^x
12896.68425=1.1006953655228^x
log(12896.68425)=xlog(1.1006953655228)
log(12896.68425)/log(1.1006953655228)=98.65=x
98.65/12=8.22
This month there are about 628,706,620 Facebook users.
518895.4110282*1.1009653655228^74=628706619.9
In 6 months 1,140,177,305 people will have facebooks.
518895.4110282*1.1009653655228^80=1140177305
