Cutting Pieces of Cake

Y=ax^2+bx+c

a=.5, b=.5, c=1

This is a parabolic function.
A is the width of the function.
B is where the vertex is on the x-axis.
C is where the vertex is on the y-axis.

In this graph:
A is how many cuts made into the cake.
B moves the graph from side to side.
C is how maybe pieces of cake you start out with.
X is the number of cuts.
Y is the number of peices.

The x-axis is the number of cuts made into the cake.
The y-axis is the number of peices of cake resulting from the cuts made.

The Range:
Greater than or equal to .875
Less than infinity. (2,4,7,11,16,22,29,37)
The Domain:
Between 0 and infinity. (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)
