Year of Processors vs. # of Transitors

1. The X value is an exponent resulting in the graph being exponential. The X value represents the years vs. the amount of transitors. The y value represents the amount of transitors made vs. the year they were produced. y=a*b^x (a) represents the number being multiplied by (b) it is then raised to the "x" power. The same goes for the value of (b) which is being multiplied by (a) and then being raised to the "x" power (year) to equal y (# of transitors)

2. 2 Billion transitors will be released in the year 2010. When 2.3 billon transitors are made it will be between the years of 2010 and 2011. Moores laws apply to our graph because after significant time there is rapid growth.

Tennis Ball Arc Projection

X represents the horizontal distance that the tennis ball traveled from the beginning point to the trash can. Y is the height that the tennis ball reaches, this is also a quadratic equation. (a) is negative and starts out in the II quadrant, it is all of the negative x values.(b) is also a negative number, (c) is the maximum height of the arc. The tennis ball will not land in the trash can because when the ball was trown it was not from ground level. This will result in the arc of the balls path to be higher, and will throw off the landing spot of 60. (where the trash can is)
