Regression Equation: 1.29*1.43^x = y

Y in equation = # of Transistors
X in equaton = Year
1.29 = the intial value of f(x)
1.43 = the growth factor

The quad-core Itanium will be released with 2 billion transistors in 2029.


The 8-core xeon with 2.3 billion transistors will be released in 2036.

Our equation does not support Moore's Law because our data does not always double every other year

a.Regression Equation for men 100m= -.0944940476x+237.204881

Regression Equation for women 100m= -.0759821429x+205.9546429

b. The first number in the equation represents how much time the average speed decreases every 4 years. The second number in the number of seconds it took to swim the 100m in year zero. The models make sense beacuse I plugged in accurate information and made a linear equation.

c. Women's 100m times are longer than the men's times. But in 1896 they both had the same time of 1:22. The times in each events will continue to decrease. Anamzing time would be 40 seconds, and this would be achieved in 2086.
